Social Media Dos & Don'ts
Many new consultants struggle to understand why you don't have free reign to post whatever they want about their business...I mean, they tell us that we are Independent Consultants, right??
Where the answer to that question is yes, we still have to abide by the standards set in place to stay compliant with the Direct Selling Association's (DSA) Code of Ethics. If consultants do not follow the standards, Scentsy's membership to the DSA could be terminated.
Where it is important that we ALL stay compliant, it is your job to maintain compliance for YOUR business. You are able to submit concerns to the Compliance Department, but your time is better spent running your business if the concern does not directly interfere with your business.
The slides below give some really good examples of verbiage to use or not use when marketing your business on social media. The slides use actual posts from consultants.

Save the image below! Anytime you post about income (even in the form of trips and prizes), you must include this photo in your social media post; this applies to social media stories as well.
