Beware of Scammers

As a brand new Scentsy Consultant, it is not uncommon to receive e-mails from people wanting to order products; the problem is they're generally scammers. I'll share details on how you can train yourself to spot the difference between legitimate and illegitimate requests.

First and foremost, know that Escential and Certified consultants are not listed on the Consultant Locator on the Scentsy website. This means you should not be receiving an order from someone you don't know (outside of a referral from your own customer).

Whenever someone goes to Scentsy.com to place an order, they are prompted to select a consultant to place their order with. The only consultants who appear (without their specific name and state being searched) are consultants who are titled at Lead and above.

Being listed on the Consultant Locator is a great perk!! If you are the closest consultant to the person's address, you will be the first consultant listed for them to purchase from when they don't have a consultant to purchase from.

How to spot a scammer

1. E-mail addresses - the name doesn't match the e-mail address

2. Grammar - it's usually terrible

3. They state they went to your Scentsy website

4. The order is always in BULK. It is rare to see one without 2 or 3 warmers each.
